1. The service

ScrapSage provides a phone answering service and a public pricing page for scrap yard operators. By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the prices, hours, and other information you enter into the dashboard. The agent reads what you typed. Keep your login credentials safe and tell us right away if you think someone else has access to your account.

3. Billing

The service is sold month to month at the price published on the homepage. Minutes used above the included allowance are billed at the per-minute rate listed. Charges renew automatically. You can cancel at any time and the service runs through the end of the period you paid for.

4. Acceptable use

Use the service for your own scrap yard business. Do not use it to mislead callers about the identity of your business or to do anything illegal. We may suspend accounts that put the platform or its other customers at risk.

5. Pricing quotes are estimates, not offers

The agent reads prices from the dashboard you control. Scrap prices move with the market, data can be stale, and software occasionally mishears or misspeaks. So any price the agent quotes on a call is an estimate for the caller’s convenience — not a binding offer and not a price you are required to honor when the customer arrives at your yard. Your posted price at the time the material is weighed in is the price that governs the transaction.

You agree to communicate this to your customers (for example, through the standard disclosure played at the start of each call, the disclaimer on your public pricing page, and signage at your counter). ScrapSage is not liable for any difference between a price quoted by the agent and the price you ultimately pay, including lost margin, customer disputes, or refused loads. You remain responsible for keeping the prices, hours, and other information in your dashboard accurate.

6. Liability

We work hard to keep the service running and accurate, but software has failures and phone networks have outages. Our liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these terms over time. If we make a material change we will email the address on file. For questions write to legal@scrapsage.com.
